To: Rose Lalonde Message: So this seems silly to write rather than a more direct expression But I suppose saying it aloud never occurs the way it should If that makes me a coward then a coward I will be
You know how Romeo compared Juliet to the sun and urged her to slay the envious moon I dont think he had it quite right But its very likely his lust had driven him to madness when you consider his urging of the vestal livery I mean really
My point is that the moon is not envious or sick It is from the sun that she is lent the glow she shines through the night I would dare say that none appreciates the suns beauty as the moon She takes the beauty given her and reflects it on the world In a like manner am I the moon in awe of my sun And it would be a far dimmer light I give if not for her
If it werent clear at this point by her I of course mean you Because there is no brighter Light in my life And I think you can See that Okay that joke was terrible sorry But it is true that without you in it I would have a much darker existence I dont want you to feel by any means obligated by that fact If ever I felt your life was unduly burdened by my presence I would remove myself from it
But in the meantime I wanted to make a least what fragment I have art to describe known regarding how much you mean to me There is no other with luck so great as mine that you would deign to love me So incredible an act that I constantly view it with a sense of awe and gratitude What could I possibly do but love you just as deeply
So the underlying message this rambling discourse is attempting to convey is a sense of appreciation that we are together While it is seasonal I dont think it should be restricted to it I am and remain yours no matter the date For as long as you will have me
When you receive this if you feel it appropriate to match my cowardice then I will await your response eagerly Otherwise well You know where I can be found
