First I'd like to know how long have you been here, if you don't mind.

I arrived in The City July 2012, however.

A long time would be the sufficient answer. There aren't many of us who migrated here from the City left.

First, what can you tell me about Captain Holiday? Did you get to talk to him much?

I only spoke with him once or twice. I've personally thought to approach any of the military personnel here. A slight on my party, I think. It's put me very out of the loop on what's been happening.

I wouldn't have said he showed any signs that warranted his incarceration, however. But that was just a cursory glance.

That's hard to tell, especially if the man wasn't in public much. But the way his hospitalization was handled does make it very suspicious, which is why I'm asking. If we could talk to the man himself it'd be easier, but so far speculation wil have to do.

Would you say he looked overworked? Stressed?

Honestly? I couldn't say. He was in a position of power and in a job that is often stressful. I would imagine, with the imPort duties on top of that, he would have shown a normal amount of stress expected of him.

When I met him, upon my arrival -- I wouldn't say he looked overworked.

Yes, I suppose you're right.

[Some people have said he looked overworked, so he was trying to see if that had only been their impression or a common thing.]

Is there anything else about him you found worth mentioning? Otherwise I'd like to move on to the Porter.

Not really. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

What do you need to know about the Porter?

Anything, really. Who has had any kind of contact with it, what you might know about its technology, etc.

Lachesis, when we were in the City, would sometimes communicate with imPorts via our network. She was -- cryptic at best, with a penchant for putting imPorts into situations that we would have rather avoided. She has been silent here, something which has made me incredibly uneasy. The technology, however -- some people tried to analyse it in the City, I believe, but whether their research ever came to fruition isn't something I know. Kanaya Maryam was in the City longer than I and there are scientists here with the means to theorize better than I.

What about her being silent has made you uneasy?

Everything. My experience with narcissistic deities is that if they are silent, something worse is coming.

You think she's a deity? And that implies you've had more experiences with them.

[nitidus]

I have experience with the the Gods of the Furthest Ring. Though, I suppose I qualify under deity now too. Experience: maximum.

In any case, I think Lachesis thinks that she is a deity. She certainly has the power to back the claim up. Artificial intelligence with omniscient capabilities?
